Core Policies for Tutoring Platform

1. Booking Policy

• Sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
• Bookings are confirmed only after payment is received.
• You’ll receive a confirmation email with session details and a Teams link.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

• You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the session with no penalty.
• Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable, except in emergencies.
• To reschedule, use the link in your confirmation email or contact support at info@tutorswithdoctorate.com

3. Refund Policy

• Refunds are available for cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance.
• No refunds for missed sessions or late arrivals.
• If a tutor cancels, you’ll receive a full refund or priority rescheduling.

4. Late Arrival Policy

• Tutors will wait up to 15 minutes past the scheduled time.
• Sessions will not be extended for late arrivals.
• If the student does not show, the session is considered forfeited.

5. Code of Conduct

• Respectful communication is expected at all times.
• Tutors will not complete assignments or exams on behalf of students.
• Academic integrity is a shared responsibility—our goal is to teach, not to do.

6. Technical Requirements

• Students must have a stable internet connection and access to Microsoft Teams platform (Free version or Paid version).
• A working microphone and camera are recommended for interactive sessions.
• If technical issues prevent a session from proceeding, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

• All student information is kept confidential and used only for tutoring purposes.
• Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance or student review, with prior consent.
• We comply with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.

8. Tutor Credentials

• All tutors hold advanced degrees (PhD or MSc) in biology or related fields.
• Tutors are vetted for academic experience and online teaching proficiency.
